The origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival in China. The Mid-Autumn Festival began in the Song Dynasty. By the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it had become one of the major festivals in China, as well as New Year's Day.

It is also the second largest traditional festival in China after the Spring Festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival has been listed as a national legal holiday since 2008. The Mid-Autumn Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Spring Festival and Tomb-sweeping Day are known as the four traditional Chinese festivals.

The origin of National Day
